Welcome to the website for the Nutrients for Mental Health, Anxiety and Depression (NoMAD) trial, exploring the effectiveness of multi-nutrients (taiora) as a potential treatment for symptoms of anxiety (āwangawanga) and depression (mate pāpōuri). This trial is only open to people living in the Canterbury (Otautahi/Waitaha) region. Referrals to the trial can be made though self-referral or by your General Practitioner (GP). We would encourage you to speak with your GP if you are interested in participating.
You can find information on this website about multi-nutrients, the NoMAD trial, links to community assistance for people experiencing anxiety and depression, statistics about anxiety and depression, and information about a study for women who are pregnant (hapu) also involving multi-nutrients.
