Welcome to the website for the Nutrients for Mental Health, Anxiety and Depression (NoMAD) trial, exploring the effectiveness of micronutrients (taiora) as a potential treatment for symptoms of anxiety (āwangawanga) and depression (mate pāpōuri). This trial is only open to people living in the Canterbury (Otautahi/Waitaha) region. Referrals to the trial must be made by your General Practitioner (GP), so please speak to them if you believe you may be suitable for participation in this trial.
You can find information on this website about micronutrients, the NoMAD trial, links to community assistance for people experiencing anxiety and depression, statistics about anxiety and depression, and information about a study for women who are pregnant (hapu) also involving micronutrients.
